Its not a fluke....

Future olympic athelete? I've never heard of a baby consistently rolling over this early...apparently not too many people have. It makes me a little afraid of how quickly he's going to get 'busy'. Anyway, enjoy the video :)

Tummy Time just got more complicated!

Last night at 6 weeks 4 days old Patrick rolled over for the first time. I was sure it was a fluke til he did it a few times today too. This makes his recommended 20 minutes/day of tummy time a lot more complicated! Guess we'll just hope he sits up solo quite soon to cure his ever flatter head.

Last night.....

Patrick slept from 8:30 until 2. then back to sleep from 2 til 6.

Natalie slept from 7 until 6:30.

Kids say the darndest things....

Me: Natalie, I am getting frustrated. If you don't stop my head is going to explode.
Nattie: And then there will be blood, and brains all over the wall!!!

I was laughing so hard over this it totally alleviated any ounce of frustration I was feeling.

Good News Today!

So, before I went on mat leave I got some news from my boss that my position was being reclassed organizationally. Basically, because of all the hard work I had done with the stimulus stuff and my expressed interest in getting away from the clerical side of my job I was being moved to the clinical side of the organization and would be focusing much more heavily on grants. The job was not changing as far as paygrade but that it was being positioned for supervisory status over an assistant as the organization grew and the grants work became too much for one person. this of course was very flattering but didn't really mean a hill of beans except that I was really glad all my hard work had been noticed.

Fast forward to this morning.... I show up at the office to show Patrick off and am talking to coworkers when a new face walks over (from my desk) and intro's herself to me. I assume they've hired a temp Kate. Nope, she's a new person doing an unrelated job. However, my seat has been moved into a private office. This serves two purposes....one, I'm movin' up in the world(!) and two, I have a private place where I can pump BM without having to leave my desk or use the EWWWWW bathroom. I am so over the moon right now. On the professional front I feel so glad that I'm being noticed and rewarded. On the personal front I am so INSANELY RELIEVED that if P does wind up needing to be EBF until he's 1 that I can take care of business from right at my desk!
