Okay, alright, I know...its approximately 60 days until I am able to....
- Meet Patrick :)
- Point my toes without having a leg/foot cramp.
- Breathe Deeply
- Bend to pick something up w/out involuntarily grunting
- Eat cold lunch meat, sushi, soft serve ice cream, wine & caffeinated coffee
- Weigh less than James
- Walk without waddling
- Carry Nattie for more than 5 minutes
- Sit in a jacuzzi tub
- Go pee fewer than 20 times a day
- Not drop every other thing I pick up
- Wear something with a waist (okay - that might be more than 60 days!)
- Stop answering "the questions" that everyone asks but never remembers the answers to
- Stop listening to comments about my body
- Stop having complete strangers ask me really personal questions like "how much weight have you gained?

Adios size M
This morning I had to change my shirt 4 times to find one that covered my belly lengthwise. They all fit just fine....except for the 2" of my belly that was hanging out the bottom. Goodbye size M...hello size L.

Feeling accomplished & physically broken!
It's been a few days since my last update. Work is too busy for my liking and is preventing me from doing much besides work while I'm here...can you imagine?? :) Last week we had a few testy days w/ Nattie. Conclusion by daycare staff is that she's bored. I don't know why this came as a surprise since she always does this a few months in advance of when she should switch classrooms at school. Thankfully, this time her move is scheduled 2 months early and she only has to wait 3 weeks to have her mind blown by full time preschool. Apparently she & her girlfriends have been misbehaving during structured activity time - not listening or following directions - and who, you might ask, is the ringleader in all this bad behavior? Why, its Miss Natalie. Apparently she has a little group of lemmings that think she's fabulous and are willing to sully their good daily reports over following her lead. We are in so much trouble. These are 2yo we're talking about friends - not highschoolers.....
This weekend has wrecked me physically and left me feeling more peaceful about the state of my house. Things had just gotten dirty. Between my total lack of energy and Jame's classes we'd let it go longer than we should have. Well, we fixed it. Jame got the vacuuming (sp??) done and the kitchen cleaned. We got our bonus room cleaned out and put back together as the spare room. I bought a steam mop and our floors are finally really clean. Bathrooms are done. Things are picked up. Whew! The upshot is that I don't hate looking at my house anymore. The downside is that accomplishing these things also resulted in two little spurts of contractions. And since those hurt, and should be avoided for another 8 weeks, I guess I'm going to have to learn (again!) to pace myself for pregnancy capabilities. Thankfully I have a chiro appt this morning. I'll have to listen to his lecture but I'll feel better afterward.

Lobster - not a fan yet!
3/4 baked - There is Dawson in there! - other updates
Patrick is officially 3/4 cooked today. Here is a little tidbit courtesy of WebMD about him...
Week 30: Your baby measures about 17 inches from head to toe and weighs about 3 pounds. Baby is growing plumper and beginning to control its own body temperature. Eyebrows and eyelashes are fully developed, and hair on the head is getting thicker. Head and body are now proportioned like a newborn's. Hands are now fully formed and fingernails are growing.
Its hard to believe that 28 weeks ago he was 2 cells big. Harder still to believe that in 10 short weeks he'll have gained another 6ish pounds and will be ready to meet the world. All that said I am so ready to be done with pregancy forever and ever and ever. I know I should enjoy this but I just want to take a deep breath and not wake up w/ aching hips and drink a glass of wine and eat cold cuts. vent over....
And this week I discovered that there is a little Dawson in Nattie. And of all the weird traits I could've passed to her it had to be hot feet. Okay...so unless you're Jame and frequently harassed by me about steaming hot feet you probably don't realize that I suffer from this. And its not all the time...but a couple of days a week my feet heat up and its just the most uncomfortable and insane feeling. An ice cold tub of water is about the only way to get relief. Well, last week on Thursday night Nattie came down w/ some kind of 24 hour bug. Pukey's ensued and she wound up in my bed so I could get her face in the trash can in time to avert major mess. As she dozed in between bouts of this nonsense she was not content unless her feet were scrunched into the back of my pj pants. And let me just say THEY WERE SOME HOT FREAKIN' FEET! I felt like my butt was being burnt. So, it turns out that there is some of me in her.
For anyone who is concerned my butt is fine - there was no permanent damage :) And Nattie woke up that morning just as happy as a lark. I on the other hand felt like I'd been up all night w/ a sick baby. How do they recover so quickly???
And the weekend. It was nice(ish). Saturday morning was lovely. Nattie slept until almost 7am (miracle!!!) and then we exchanged hugs & kisses and cards & chocolates! Poor Jame had 2 projects due and so was stressed and trying to focus on school. I felt like I was slogging thru quicksand all day and got almost nothing accomplished including being even remotely fun to hang out with. Sunday morning was a lot of fun...Nattie & I played hard while Jame finished up his classwork. But then I made the mistake of sitting down. Which lead to laying down. Which lead to a total inability to get back up again. Must remember that sitting down is the same as calling it quits for the day and not to do it again!
I have great photo's of Nattie w/ the lobster that Jame & I treated ourselves to for Vday. Will try to post those tomorrow!

Our beautiful girl!
I can't remember if I updated but the children's photog was back at the daycare last week and I had every finger & toe x'd that Nattie would cooperate. We haven't been able to get her to sit for a portrait since she was 6m old. The last go-round was a decided victory for her when she absolutely refused to even sit in front of the camera. This time around I started talking it up early. Her teachers were priming her. I let her help me pick out her outfit and decide how to do her hair. I was so hopeful! And in advance of everyone asking...yes, I do plan on ordering a ton of these so if you want one let me know.
And its all paid off! Please see below for beautiful Nattie.

Nattie Funnies...and more updates
First...let me ask a question. Is there any Dawson in there? The other night Natalie asked me to put half a cookie into a baggie for later. Because she was full! Who is this child? No self respecting Dawson would ever stop eating dessert because they were full. Obviously she's spent most of her time swimming in Jame's genetic pool! This, coupled w/ zero body fat and her inability to gain weight has me convinced that if there is any Dawson in there its buried deep!
And last night in Target.... We're in the card aisle trying to make a decision. Its nearly Valentine's day so there were at least 10 other people in the aisle with us. And what do I hear? A loud announcement! "Mommy, I need to go poo poo!" Everyone around us got quite a kick out of that.
Lastly... this morning. I had just gotten Nattie up and we were goofing off for a minute or two when she asked me to 'unwrap' Patrick so she could say good morning. Then proceeded to pull my shirt up, skirt down and give my belly button a kiss. I hope she's so caring when he's truly 'unwrapped' and stealing some of her thunder. I hope I hope I hope.
Its been awhile since I updated. Last weekend was great. The weather was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time outside. I got our taxes done, we went for a little hike and the house got sort of cleaned up. The warm weather has continued, although the sun has been hiding, so is been great to go outside without feeling a chill in the air. And last night I got to sleep w/ the windows open all night. What a treat! I feel like our house is always closed up w/ either the heat or the air on!
And yesterday I narrowed down my choices and ordered my seeds for my veggie garden. :)
